On the last day of our stay in Cateel, Davao Oriental, team bote bakal decided to visit to one of the most beautiful falls in Mindanao. Situated in barangay Aliwagwag, the falls is along the national highway so passers-by can see the beautiful towering falls.

Before arriving in our destination, we passed by the hanging bridge of Maglahus. Cateel is politically subdivided into 16 barangays and barangay Maglahus is one of them. It is just around 10 minutes away from Aliwagwag falls.
The hanging bridge of Maglahus is the way for the local people to pass from the highway to barangay Maglahus, so it means that this bridge is very important to them.

stop-over to pose for a pic |
There is no entrance fee in going to Aliwagwag falls, but I am not sure for cottage. I think there is a charge but I guess it is so cheap and very affordable. The only disadvantage is that it is very slippery going to the cottage. Thus, making it difficult to transport our things particularly our food from the main road to the cottages.
Here are the pictures that we gathered during our visit:

The three days vacation was over but I am glad that I was invited by my sister and her friends. It was loaded with fun and adventure, not to mention the delicious food that Jenny's parents prepared for the entire group. Living in a country side is indeed the best! The simplicity of the people remains in my heart. I hope the tourism in Cateel will bloom in the future because it is really something that CateeleƱos can be proud of.
