Eden Nature Park & Resort

  According to their website , it is a mountain resort 3,000 feet above sea level. Eden Nature Park is 95% man-made! It is a great model of how we can re-create nature and rebuild a lost environment. Discovered sometime in 1971, the resort used to be a logged-over area covered only by a blanket of wild grass. Its potential was, however readily seen by the owners as the property provided an imposing view of Davao City and the Davao Gulf.

      

     For Day tour, an adult cost 520 php that includes a buffet lunch and plated snacks cost 200 php. For children aged 4-10 years old, a buffet lunch will cost 330 php and plated snack cost 170 php. Visitors can choose either buffet lunch or plated snack but entrance fee is already included.

  

  There are various recreational acitivities in Eden Nature Park &Resort, these includes guided shuttle tour that cost 120 php per pax. The tour last for 45 minutes with three different spot to see. They also have a zipline called skyrider that cost 150 php,it consist of a 200 meter long steel cable suspended at 20 meters in the air.

    

   Horseback riding is also an attraction in Eden that cost 85 php, fishing cost 40 php but you have to pay for the certain fish that you caught per kilo. Lastly, you can also refresh in Eden by swimming on their swimming pool but one must pay 80 php for adult and 55 for a child. Of course proper swimming attire is required. Recently their is a new attraction called skycycle, it is like riding a bicycle while suspended in the air. The rate are 200 php for both adult and child and combo (1 skyrider) cost 300 php.

   Eden also offers an overnight accommodation. For cheaper accommodation you can always check their website or facebook page. They always offer discounted price on their rooms that includes free breakfast or dinner. It's always good to plan ahead of time to avail their promo. 

How to get here:

 1. Taxi - From downtown of Davao City there are a lot of taxis that will go to Eden but expect a higher price since it is more than 1 hour form downtown.

2. Public Transportation - There are a lot of jeepney going to Toril. Just instruct the jeepney driver to drop you off Mercury Drug Store, then hail a motorcycle going up to Eden. They charge approximately 80-100 php per head.

3. Private Vehicle - If you own a car then it will be more convenient. It is more or less 40 km from downtown. Just ask some locals regarding directions. 

4. Shuttle - Shuttle service is from Matina Town Square (MTS), it cost 200 php per head on weekend. During weekdays, the shuttle can be rented the whole day for about 1500 roundtrip back and forth to Eden.
